Fire protection
We are FIRAS approved, which means our operatives are trained and assessed to industry standards for passive fire protection installation – an approval that matters increasingly on schemes where building control and duty holders require evidenced competence, not just method statements.
Our fire protection work covers cavity fire barriers, intumescent seals, fire stopping at penetrations and junctions and the photographic and documentary evidence required to demonstrate that passive fire protection has been installed correctly, in the right locations – and to the correct specification.
Under the Building Safety Act, the evidence trail for passive fire protection on higher-risk buildings is a formal requirement and our approach to recording and handover has been built around producing that evidence as a matter of course, not as an afterthought.
Safety and quality
Where fire protection is being delivered alongside a wider facade or cladding scope, we co-ordinate the two workstreams in-house – so that fire barrier positions are designed into the facade system rather than retrofitted around it.
FIRAS approval, Constructionline Platinum accreditation and HKL’s group safety record give clients the confidence that the fire protection being signed off has been installed by a team that understands what it is there to do.
