Safety and quality

Approaching 500,000 hours on site across both divisions without a single RIDDOR-reportable incident, HKL’s safety record is not a statistic we manage – it is the culture we have built over 13 years.

Pictured is the structural framing system around 6 More London - a project done by HKL.

Every project begins with detailed, site-specific risk assessments and method statements, reviewed and approved before a single operative sets foot on site.

A dedicated health and safety advisor attends every HKL site regularly – not to audit from a distance, but to work alongside the team and address issues before they become incidents.

Quality at HKL starts at design stage: by coordinating facade schemes from specification through to installation, we close the gap where problems most commonly occur – the handover between design intent and site reality.

Our Constructionline Platinum accreditation and CWCT membership reflect the standards we hold ourselves to, independently verified by the bodies that set them.

In 310 projects, we have been involved in one formal adjudication – and we won it – because the quality of our documentation, our workmanship, and our relationships means disputes rarely have grounds to develop in the first place.
